To stop the mass extinction the following needs to take place:
We need to raise awareness of the issue on par with climate change
among the public
and among the politicians. Politicians across all political persuasions need to be aware that they will not continue to have public support without putting this issue in the forefront. Lip service will no longer do
Scientists are fully aware of the issue, but we need to engage them
We need to allocate public funds in line with how important saving the planet is for the general public
We suggest 2% of the GDP which is similar to what many countries aim to spend on defense.
We need to take action and not just put up some kind of a show
Scientists have a variety of great ideas of what needs to be done now and in the long run. See our…. Research will show the effectiveness of different programs
The most important role that we at the Charitable Institute are taking on is to raise the above mentioned awareness.
